This year, ISACHD is encouraging and prioritizing abstracts focused on a specific ACHD subgroup, such as Tetralogy of Fallot, AVSD, Coarctation, or another defined population, rather than studies inclusive of all ACHD patients.
Because of the significant heterogeneity among congenital heart defect types, a smaller study focused on a well-defined subgroup may be given preference during abstract review over a larger study of a mixed ACHD population.
Case reports are generally discouraged unless they present new information related to unusual anatomy or innovative management.
-
Abstract presenters will receive a $100 discount on conference registration for each accepted abstract, limited to one discount per accepted abstract. According to ISACHD, this discount will likely be reimbursed toward the presenter’s housing obligation.
